If you do gardening between 30 to 40 minutes a day, you could burn up to 3000 calories. Gardening has a range of other benefits, like lowering blood pressure. This healthy hobby can be enjoyed by everyone in the family!
LARPing
Live Action Role Playing might sound silly and easy to dismiss, but it’s a great way to keep fit. In this live-action game, you could be wielding swords, wearing heavy costumes and running around in an improvised interaction. You have a character to play, which is fun and can be a challenge because you have to act out a character’s actions.
Dancing
From swing dancing, street dancing to tap dancing, there are all kinds of dance styles you can learn. Try to find out if there’s a local dance class near you and see if you can join. Dancing regularly is excellent for fitness and it can also be a very sociable hobby.
Martial arts
Signing up for a martial arts class can be extremely rewarding for your fitness. It might seem like an intimidating prospect, but if you’re the competitive type, then martial arts could be perfect for you. It’ll keep you strong and super fit as it provides a full body workout, and you never know with a bit of luck, you could be the next Conor McGregor!
Home exercises
There are hundreds of exercises you can do in the privacy of your own home, which can burn calories and improve your physique. You don’t even need any equipment because you can do exercises such as squats, hip raises and side planks. Also, you could play video games that make you be active, like Wii Fit or Just Dance on the Xbox Kinect.
There are all sorts of ways to stay fit without having to step foot in a gym. Find something you enjoy that you can easily build into your lifestyle!
